Baby Fever

This bundle of joy is Erin & Byron's beautiful boy!
After 55 hours of labor, this little guy finally decided to join
the party! He's so darn cute! In this pic, he snuggles
into a little ball as I hold him.
Little snuggle bunny.
Reminds me of
my silly boy.

Thanks for the pics Erin!

2 Hour Call

Cravatec bonjour, originally uploaded by .séverine.

I think my mom and I talked about everything and back again. Ever do that? Then when I hung up, my cell phone displayed 2 hrs and 11 min! She lives in New Mexico so we have to catch up on the latest. This call takes the prize for the longest;) Good thing she's in my network. I didn't quite look as stylish as this busy photo by Severine...

Sugar Cookies

I made sugar cookies with my little guy from scratch.
Like Clara's sugar cookies on my Monday video.
Well, they were the worst cookies ever!
No sprinkles can make these cookies good.
It was like biting into chalk.
Was it Clara?
Was it me?

Addiction #8: Turquoise

Any time, Any place.
Turquoise baby!

Old El Paso

Check out my parent's Southwestern Decor.
Whenever I go back home, the colors are muted mauve,
browns, tans & splashes of turquoise.
Maybe that's why I'm addicted to turquoise.
Hmmmmmmm.
That leads me to addiction #8.

My little guy & I are enjoying the morning paper &
coffee.

Employee of the Month:

Rafael Campos
He's been fired as my Personal Trainer, stylist &
PR Rep ...
Now he makes a come back as our
"Child Technician"
and is negotiating a position for
"Assistant Creative Director."
I think he would make a great Assistant
TO the Creative Director at YedOmi.

A little about this talent:
  • Loves kiwi
  • Climbing Mt. Vesuvius
  • Demands M&M's, coffee , fruit and stock options on his shifts.
  • Is Getting Married!
  • Constantly gives feedback.
  • Traveled Milan for months.
  • Can credit Pasquale Bruni for his talent in the jewelry biz.
  • Gives constant feedback.
Help me congratulate Rafael.
He's family;)

Back to work!

Spanish coffee anyone?

I admit, I'm a Spanish Coffee snob.
Make that a coffee snob too. I've got problems...
I love a good Spanish Coffee made with love, Grand Marnier,
151, Kahlua & Coffee.
Yed worked it up & it was perfecto!

Cheers.

P.S. Yed didn't want to be in the pic
because he was having a bad hair day.

Addiction #7: Blogging

Yed would like me to admit to my blogging addiction.
There you have it.
I'm addicted.
Happy Yed?
Love you!

Frida my Twinsie

I had fun painting this big portrait of Frida a few years
ago. It hung out with me at the Portland Sat Market...
Until people would ask if that was me.

"Forget the jewelry, is that you?"
I think I would have that same unamused look on my face.
I love her, but she had to go!

I was on my Lunch Break. Really.

This validates my addiction #5 and #6.
This tank was so charismatic. We flirted for 2 weeks.
I was at Sofia's again...

Addiction #6: My Sofia Tote

I would walk into Sofia's while working Splurge (on my lunch
of course), and this bag would whisper to me.
"Naomi, you love me don't you?"
We played flirting games for months and now
we're exclusive.

My purses are jealous.

I can't walk in there without that happening!
Check out Sofia on 14th & NE Fremont.

Addiction #5: Black & White

Black & White Prints

This Curtain I found at Urban Outfitters.

I went crazy reupholstering chairs with this zebra fabric
a designer ditched in my old studio downtown.

Black & white photos, drawings, paintings, etc...

Pizza Night

Check out how fast & high that is!
Yed, that's AMAZING!

The Dough was Super Easy!
  • 1.5 cups warm water
  • 1 tbls active dry yeast
Dissolve yeast in warm water & stir well.
Let sit 5 minutes.

In a bowl mix:
  • 3.5 cups flour
  • 1 tbls olive oil

Add yeast & water and use a spatula to mix all ingredients.
Then knead dough with hands. Sprinkle flour to your
work surface(we used whole wheat flour).
Drizzle some olive oil in another bowl and place dough.
Then cut an X on top with a knife.
Drizzle olive oil on top and cover bowl with a towel and let sit
an hour and a half.
Size will double in volume.

Redo: Green Desk

Old green desk gets a second chance...
Knobs I found at Poppy & Ivy.
I didn't try this great technique Amy of
Poppy & Ivy told me about:
Melt wax and smear it on corners of desk,
let dry, then spray paint.

After paint dries, use hair dryer to melt & clean off wax.
Bottom paint will show up looking antiqued & fabulous.

Next redo I'm on it!

Opening Weekend at Portland Saturday Market

Thank you to all the ladies that supported us
at the Saturday Market this weekend! We are so grateful
and can't thank you enough!
Kathleen from Camas took a smashing pair of our Sapphire
Chandelier earrings. She was delightful to chat with!
Amelia's praises got her friend Catherine
to check us out. I have to thank Carol for that one too.
You ladies are the reason why I do what I do.

Thank You!

New Humans: Grumpy Old Men

I have babies on the mind today...
My girlfriend is in labor and I can't
stop thinking about them!

Today for them is...
Beautiful, painful, new, exciting, precious,
and life altering. Did I say painful?

I came across these pics from French
photographer Thierry Bouet on A Cup of Jo
and thought I would share. I love them!
Reminds me of my little guy when I first met him.
He looked like a grumpy old man!

Monday Video Coffee Fix

This one's short & sweet. It had Micah & I laughing.
