- When jewelry is stored, keep in plastic zip lock bags to avoid jewels from oxidizing.
- Soft gemstones like turquoise, coral and pearls may change color when left in the sun or submersed in water.
When cleaning is needed, use an old, soft bristle toothbrush and gently lather metal (avoiding gemstones as much as possible) with warm water and toothpaste or Wright's Silver Cream (found at your local grocery store) works wonders.
Rinse thoroughly and gently pat dry.
Avoid jewelry contact with harsh chemicals found in house cleaners, swimming pools and hot tubs.
