Last night I brewed a fresh pot of coffee to get ready for my jewelry making marathon. Little did I know, the plans were going to be a tiny bit different.
I'm in the zone. Jamming to my music mix. Torch is burning high and next thing I see is darkness with a blue glow of my torch.

My little tea nook is slowly outgrowing it's tiny space above the microwave. I need to build a proper display for these ladies! The teapot above I found at an antique store called The Goodwill. I love it! It's so curvy and sexy! It makes my tea taste good.
Our Mint is growing and it smells so good! There's something about enjoying food from your garden. It tastes amazing! I can't wait for the bell peppers, tomatoes, tomatillos, onions, cucumbers and strawberries to grow. I'm addicted to my garden! Especially if you can make one of these after a long hard day...

It's impossible not to be seduced by the Pacific Northwest in the Spring! Years of inspiration come from one season. I headed to the tulip farm with some friends and soaked up the sun & flowers. It rained that morning and the clouds parted for us the rest of the day. My son was in awe of the collection of tractors...boys;)
These pink trees are all over Portland and are beautiful! Spring in Portland is the best!I'm catching up on the 'Ole Blog. I hope you had a great weekend;)
I ran into an old friend named Chris Bibby and have always loved his work. I was smitten by his "Portland in the Summer" paintings. My little guy has this obsession with our city's bridges and these paintings made him swoon! It was so sweet to see that twinkle in his eye as he pointed out the names of these bridges and specifically where they were going in his room. You can check out Chris Bibby's work here. I left with the bottom two, but I have a feeling I'll be adding more:)Can you blame me?
When crafty ladies throw a party- they don't mess around! We made Birthday hats at this sweet Birthday Party last night. I gave my hat some major flower power! You can check out the fun pics here.
Creative ideas for small spaces. This one is perfect! A chandelier too? I like! Wall paper fit for a queen can be spendy on a big room. I love the plywood board on top of the filing cabinets. We used this same concept in our studio.
It never occurred to me to paint the peg board. A peg board never looked so good!
You might as well go to town decorating tiny spaces;)
Urban Outfitters has great jewelry holders for your collections. I love the trees and also came across the doll chair holder. I love that sculpture/holder! Here's the skinny on these holders:Clockwise- Tree $28.00,Trio Trees $38.00, Doll chair holder $68.00. Want to get organized but not spend over $5? Get out and find some sturdy little branches. Spray paint them white. Arrange them in a vase you have at home using pebbles to weight them in place and presto! You have yourself a handcrafted display. We did this for our shop (photo below). You can use this same idea on your wall by using wire to attach your branches. Find old picture frames to frame your branches (sans-glass). Ohhhh the possibilities...
With all this hard production work going on, I had to treat myself to a theater production of "Eating Raoul" with the ladies. Wow! So much talent, it blew my mind! Live on Stage presented this musical comedy about a conservative couple tempted into a kinky life of crime. Nice! I seriously need more theater in my life!Could this be the start of yet another addiction?
We haven't been to the Portland Saturday Market in 2 weeks. Lot's of orders to fill and entertaining too! What do you do when you have a 5, 6, 7 and 8 year old in your home? That was us this past weekend. I pulled out my emergency craft kit fast (among many other things). We got crafty and they loved it! We made miniature plates of food out of polymer clay. These dishes turned out so cute! We have your classics: pineapple & ham pizza, salads of greens, hamburgers & fries, enchiladas, and flowers too (of course). We added magnets on the backs and the kiddos were delighted. Easter crafting at it's finest;)
I headed to Pix last night with a friend and drooled over their chocolates and treats. Wow! They had these huge 14" Easter Eggs made with 75% Tanzanie origin chocolate. Yeah, I could say I can devour one by myself (I shouldn't share the severity of my addictions). I enjoyed a coffee and spirits concoction with a side of chocolate cake (it was little). A visit during the day with tea and anything chocolate sounds lovely too. Now - I must find a way to justify buying a 14" Chocolate Egg to Yed... He might just send me to rehab.
