In Texas...

The little one swooned over cars, airplanes and

tractors.

The heat was intense, so much so that the
zucchini was sweating!

My Grandma reminds me of Frida Kahlo.
She can create something beautiful from anything.

The desert landscapes of prickly cactus, tumbleweeds
and cappuccino sand are beautiful.

Happy Belated 4th!

The 'ole bloggy has been neglected lately! I hope your weekend was relaxing and fun. We caught this holiday in the grand state of Texas. So much inspiration- so little time. Time to create!

Antlers

Secretly I've had this strange fascination with antlers lately and wonder where this is coming from. Is it my Texas roots? Did I inherit this from my grandpa? Here in Oregon, I may get red paint thrown at me for having these illicit thoughts...Shhhh don't tell anyone please. This vegetarian version is just as cool as the real thing! You think Yed will let me put this decal up somewhere?

P.S. Just to clear things up, I like the antlers but couldn't bare some cute doe eyes staring at me.

Sweet Surprise

Yed decided to show up in Texas and surprise us!
Usually I can sense these things (well, I kinda did;))
I give him kudos for almost having me completely fooled.
If I give him too much kudos, he will think he's invincible!
Love you baby!

Texas Notes

Notes so far:
It's not too hot here today. Really.
Everything is bigger.
I love the southwest landscapes & colors.
Alot of family!
No Stumptown coffee. It's ok. I brought it with me.
Turquoise!
I've been inspired & sketched out my hair accessories.
Mosquitos.
Sunsets are amazing!
Early mornings and evenings are romantic and inspiring.
Classic cars (I fell in love with a 59' FORD truck).
I keep hearing the word "Oregonian."
