Over the River and Through the Woods...

It's freezing in Portland these days!
We headed to the Oregon Coast. At least
we can freeze with a view of the ocean.
It was beautiful and surprisingly
sunny. Sweet!

Love.

We needed a mind stimulating break.
Mission accomplished!

Manzanita

We headed to Manzanita this week to charge our battery. This sweet lil' coastal town is lovely! We get giddy when we see the ocean. Enjoy your weekend!

Emergency Trip Needed!

Destination: Central Oregon- Kahneeta

Beautiful Oasis.

The geographical landscapes are stunning driving
to Kahneeta. The desert reminds me
of my home town.

This guy was heading for us! He's handsome.
Something tells me he likes to make
cars pull over.
We stayed in Tee pees and enjoyed the
views with friends.

I love that the kiddos are easily entertained!

Battery charged.

Enjoy your weekend!

Astoria Trip

Astoria-Megler Bridge, originally uploaded by Artnchicken.
My creative battery needs, so very desperately, to be charged. So I did what any Oregonian would do. I took an emergency road trip to the coast. I loaded up on snacks at the gas station where I also added 10-30w Pennzoil to my beloved Subaru. Subaru's need snacks too.
I am currently listening to the sound of docked boats gently swaying in the wind here in Astoria. It's 2:00 a.m. and I can't seem to sleep! My creative battery is almost charged. It was beautiful here at the coast today-oops I mean yesterday! Perfect 70 degree weather (maybe 68), and my little guy loved the adventure. Although, I think I heard him groan and saw him roll his eyes when I attempted to sing the ABC's on the road. Does a four year old roll his/her eyes? Maybe I'm being a little dramatic. Micah had fun hanging out with his Tio Jesse (who happens to be working here).
Back to the grind in 6 hours.
Before we go, I must grab a hot java and walk the cool beach again at sunrise.
