Design Fix

The neutrals here are lavender and creams with a splash of gold flair. I love the design and color in this room. The wall paper is lovely. To wall paper or not? It seems so permanent no? To remove wall paper is a major pain! A friend just moved into a home with wallpaper in the living room... This made me think of her.

I stumbled into this cute boutique called Adorn on NE Fremont. Love! I was on a mission -not to open my pocket book...then I saw the dress (top pic). Very much my kind of drama! I might as well pulled out a white flag. I surrendered.

Birthday Wish

This week flew by... I had a Birthday and my boys made me a cake that looked like our Wisteria Earrings in Turquoise (they used licorice, and cupcakes)! Before I could capture it on film, it was devoured! My wish was to head to the pumpkin patch and watch my little monkey have fun. Happy kiddo=Happy momma.

Fabric by Kayo Horaguchi

I scored some awesome fabric at Bolt by Kayo Horaguchi! I have these studio chairs to redo and love Kayo's work! Hmmmmmm, I think I may cover some wooden panels with this fabric too. I will hang them up where I need some drama! I feel some ADD kicking in. I can't sew to save my life, but I can staple.

A Taste of Our Saturday Crazy...

How do you host/entertain 4 kids and grandparents over a birthday weekend? I'm still recovering...Apparently, carving pumpkins, playing plastic darts, playing legos, baking birthday cake, making birthday cards, building forts, visiting the Portland Saturday Market, and making gifts for grandma didn't tire these kids out on Saturday! I could still hear giggling at 11 pm. I'm spent! Did I mention hula hoop wars and a bonfire?

Orange Fall Colors

I woke up today and felt fall tickling my nose. It was so hard to get out of the warm blankets! Orange is my favorite fall color. It makes me feel all warm inside... Bring on hot tea, scarves, fireplaces, pumpkin patches and chunky sweaters!
