We all are goofy, with our quirks and imperfections. If we put all that aside and stop being so judgmental, we can learn a thing or two.

Father's Day

What do I give my Dad, when he has anything & everything I could possibly think of? The Curiosity Shop saves the day with awesome gifts my Dad would get a kick out of. I remember when he had the first ever cell phone and it was ginormous! Well this phone headset reminds me of that, but how shall I say... mo' betta! This card too is classic and well, says it all - short & sweet.

Vintage Work

I love to see our older jewelry on ladies! It's always a treat to see how they are doing... the ladies too of course;) It reminds me of that time in my life, kinda like a good song. Of course I do have pieces of ours out there that (to me) look like my 8th grade picture, or that 8th grade pop song-yikes! This Sapphire Eden Necklace has a lovely home with a beautiful woman named Joy. I knew it would find a great home.

Sunny Days

I'm kind of giddy that the sun is out and we're having a 70-80 degree weekend! Yay! I'll be soaking it up at the Portland Saturday Market.

I was reading a blog I love, A Cup Of Jo and it got me thinking, "What inspires me?" My answer is all over the board. The ocean, bright colors, blogs I can escape in, a great cup of coffee, farmer's markets, fresh laundry, evening candles, sunsets with my lover(hubby), Oatmeal with fresh blueberries-almonds-brown sugar, fresh mint for mojitos, sunrise with little hands waking me, a road trip with great tunes, forehead kisses, baking cupcakes and laughter. You?

Hair...

2 things...I tried really hard to grow my hair out and I chopped it off again! It feels so good to chop it off! Why did I let it grow? Also, if you can pull off Turquoise hair like Raquel Reed, I think that makes you an instant rock star.

You deserve a mojito for all the hard work you have done. I take that back, you deserve the world for all the hard work that you have done! I had NO idea how hard it is! How do you multi task a career, housework, kiddies, Dad and more? How do you keep the family together through hard times so effortless?

How did you make me breakfast, comb my hair, brush my teeth, dress Gary, drive us to school, pick us up mid day- when we were sick (on your lunch break), take our endless calls at your work, pick us up after school, drive us to soccer, track, swimming, dance, band, wrestling, make dinner, wash clothes, help us with homework and put us to bed all the time????? I' m exhausted thinking about it. How did you keep your cool when I: threw tantrums, threw my veggies, cried for no reason, talked back, lied, hung around the wrong crowd, failed a test, got sassy, knew it all, didn't listen, rolled my eyes, said bad words, slammed doors, came home way past curfew, yelled at you, and then cried some more?

Remember the day you helped me dress for prom, only to discover my tattoos?

I'm sorry for being a pain, now I'm getting a taste of my own medicine. I Love you Mom. Thank you!

Special Order: Horseshoe Necklace

Mother's Day is almost here and we're moving fast to finish special pieces for Momma. We take in a few special requests like this horseshoe necklace for instance. I've never made a horseshoe and it's so sweet! I have to have fun with all special orders and really like the idea. If it's something I really don't like or get a weird vibe from, I'll have to pass. Those vibes would live in that piece forever! Silly but, kind of bad joojoo for me. Sometimes we get requests like a broken heart or something really crazy, like two swans kissing - that we never do;)
